Mullin Lubbock Parkview – Lubbock TX

Mullin Parkview-Lubbock is looking for a Special Education Teacher.  Position will open in January of 2017.  This individual must provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match student ability levels. Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
    • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments
  • Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area
    • Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
    • Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs Effective communication skills
  • Experience: One year student teaching or approved internship

Pecan Ridge High School - San Saba, TX

Located in the TDCJ Women’s Transfer Unit, Pecan Ridge High is the result of a partnership with Windham School District and Mullin ISD, allowing incarcerated students ages 18 – 25, a second chance at a high school diploma. 


Cedar Mountain High School - Gatesville, TX

Located in the TDCJ Hughes Unit, Cedar Mountain High is the result of a partnership with Windham School District and Mullin ISD, allowing incarcerated students ages 18 – 25, a second chance at a high school diploma.

 

Mullin Oaks, Brownwood, TX

Mullin Oaks is a campus residential treatment facility in partnership with G4S.

Mullin Oaks is looking for a Physical Education Teacher.  Position open until filled.  This individual must provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. 

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

    • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
    • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
